Multi-storey building at Raina street 27 was built in 1874 and was designed by Latvian architect, public worker and one of the founders of the Riga Latvian Society J.F. Baumanis, who is known for his eclectic style buildings in the historical center of Riga and the so-called Riga boulevard circle. The building Raina 27 played an important role in the architect's creative vision, because it, together with the building at Raina street 31, forms an ensemble to highlight the Lomonosov Gymnasium designed by him at Raina boulevard 29. Currently, the University of Latvia, Riga State 1st Gymnasium, embassies and many hotels.
This historic building at Raina boulevard 27 is special with both because of its history and location.  And there are  practically no apartments for sale in this area.  The goal is to create one of the most beautiful renovated projects in the historical center of Riga and a unique residential project on Raina boulevard, because there is no other building with such a view of the opera house, the city canal and the park.

Brand new lighting scheme was developed through in-depth analysis of existing situation, studying all the architectural figurines as well as compositional nuances. Tests of different lighting scheme concepts were performed in 3D digital environment. Thus three distinctly different conceptual solutions were offered, from which the boldest and most functional solution was chosen.
Light is distributed in a discrete yet bold way to cover all the main functional areas with proper light amount emphasizing versatile facade elements.
Three to four different evening through night-time scenarios were developed as well. It is indeed important to mention that light scenarios were designed to avoid unnecessary light pollution in city space.
